Sometimes we try to force an up level, a glow up – and it just doesn’t work that way.
Don’t get me wrong, it takes action and showing up for yourself in a new and powerful way, but it’s not something we can put a deadline on or expect to look a certain way.
This morning I wandered down to the beach here on the beautiful Isle of Iona (which is just incredible) and sat on a rock to just be with the water, the island, the air.
If you have been here for a while, you know that every time I return to this sacred island, my life changes and something huge shifts, and I never expect it.
But you see, now I know this.
I expected it.
I sat on the rock, and waited for my “heavens are opening, answers and clarity descending to me in a beam of light” moment.
And it didn’t come.
I waited.
It didn’t happen.
I got a little frustrated.
And then boom – “you can’t expect to receive a life changing moment or some big clarity without dropping into yourself first, and without offering anything to the land” loud and clear.
So I returned to my practices, I called in the Goddesses and guides I work with, I realised this message was the clarity moment I needed, and I recommitted myself in that moment to my path of service of the divine.
I then humbly asked for guidance on how to walk that path, how to balance all the parts of myself whilst still remaining a clear vessel for what is meant to flow through me.
I communed with the divine, with Iona, and with my soul.
I dropped into the surrender.
I landed here.
Waking one foot in front of the other on this sacred island. Exactly as I am.
And this is day one of the trip.
I can’t wait to see what else unfolds as I get to know myself better whilst walking this sacred land.
I am so excited to return in September and lead a group of powerful women on retreat here.
I am so grateful to Iona, to my guides, to myself.
Magic happens here. Let’s see what unfolds next.
With love, always,
Darcie
